Working With Us

Our Client Centered Planning System™ works best for families of significant means. Their wealth consists of a net worth of $5 million or greater. This could include the value of a closely held business, inherited wealth, real estate or investments they hold.

When new clients first work with us, in most cases they already have done some financial planning with another party: This planning may have included all or some of the following areas: Cash flow; Employee benefits analysis; Insurance including: Life; Disability; Long-Term Care; Investments; College/Retirement/Tax Planning. They may have also completed some essential Estate Planning including Wills; Powers of Attorney; Living Wills; and Revocable Living Trusts

All this previous financial and legal work can be a starting point for their relationship with us. From this point forward we work with the the Client in the following steps:

  1. The Client Retreat. Working with Clients in this are consists of:
  • Ethical Wills
  • Family Mission and Vision Statements
  • Values Clarification and Prioritization
  • Family Money Tree™
  • Family Treasure Chest™

       2. Family Meetings, Family Council.

  • This is the step where we bring together the wealth creators - the parents - with the children in a sharing setting
  • The family discusses and reaches consensus on the Family Mission, Vision, Financial Philosophy and their Family Money Tree™
  • Family discusses Next Steps including philanthropic giving
  • Creating a family culture and governance

      3. Advanced Legal and Financial Strategies

  • Once the parents and children are in agreement on the Family’s Mission and Vision Statement and have discussed and completed their Family Money Tree™, it’s time to work with the family’s team of financial experts
  • Creation of financial, legal and philanthropic strategies that support the Mission and Vision of the extended family
  • This is the "Do Phase" where the implementation of these strategies occurs to preserve the family wealth

      4. Family Leadership Experience™

  • Meetings of the family a few times annually to review the family’s progress towards:
  • Reviewing the planning and legal strategies to preserve the family wealth
